Each year, we Augustinians celebrates Patron Saint's Day in honor for St. Augustin as our school's patron. This year, it is a two days celebration that start from August 27 and end on 28. In this days, there are many activities that the school are doing for the feast and one of the activities was Pasiklaband.

    Pasiklaband is a contest for all the students of the university who has a band and have the confidence to showcase their talent as an artist. this event was organized by the USA council headed by Ms. Sheen Mabilog. The show started at 6pm. Its venue was at the front of the Alumni Hall. this event was joined by 10 different bands composed of Gerode band, Cosa Banda, Side Gate band, Exponential band, 7th Verse band, Seleven band, Scout 7 band, Teens Jam or Die band, Six things band, and the Schola Cantorum Band.

   The contest was determined by the three judges. They are Ms. Bobbie Mabilog, composer of the song "Mahal Kita Pero", Mr. Eman Abatayo, vocalist of Kuatrokantos band, and Mr. John Michael Lamigo, who is a well known musician here in Iloilo. The contest was so exciting that even though it started late, many students and outsiders watched it. The judges was having to hard time to decide who will be the winner because all of them deserves to win. But we all know in every contest, they should be a winner. The winner was composed by the Scout 7 band who got 3rd place, 2nd place for Scoula Cantorum, and the champion is the 7th Verse band.

    I can say that the Pasiklaband is one of the most exciting event that the school created because of the reactions of the students about the contest.
